Venezuelans take to the streets

Opposition parties call for anti-regime protests, while Maduro asks his supporters to march in an “anti-imperialist” counter protest. The rival demonstrations took place on Saturday. Opposition supporters marched dressed in white in Caracas, where National Assembly President and opposition leader Henry Ramos said “There is no bureaucracy or military gang that can stop us… Nicolas, save us the tragedy, resign!” Meanwhile, Maduro told a rally of his supporters in the capital “I swore that I would never surrender to the oligarchy, under no circumstances” and denounced US President Obama.
