VALC Salutes New US Sanctions against Vice President of Venezuela, Suspected Drug Trafficker and Terrorist

Today, President of the Venezuelan American Leadership Council, Martin Rodil expressed his appreciation to the administration for the new sanctions against Vice President Tareck El Aissami:

“We hope that these designations from OFAC, after many years of investigation, are only the beginning! The new Vice President, who is up to his neck in drug trafficking, money laundering and has known close ties with terrorist groups such as Hezbollah, is representative of the entire criminal regime currently destroying Venezuela.”

Rodil added,

“While the liberty loving people of Venezuela starve, the regime and its cronies, led by narco criminals and terrorists continue to prosper.  With these new sanctions, the Trump administration sends a powerful message across the Americas: Not on our doorstep, not on our watch!  Venezuelan Americans, through VALC, will continue to call for more pressure on this evil regime, to alleviate this tragic humanitarian crisis, and eventually bring freedom and democracy to the people of Venezuela.”
